Academician S.A.Lebedev (1902-1974) - Soviet Computer Pioneer IEEE^* Computer Society Award 1996 "For the first computer in the Soviet Union".

15 types of super electronic counting machines were created under his guidance starting from electronic counting machines on tubes to electronic counting machines on integral elements.
In 1946 S.Lebedev was elected Academician NAN of the Ukraine and moved to the Kyiv. He became the director of the Institute of Power. Within year were created two new Institute on base of this Institute. Sergey Lebedev became the director one of them - of the Institute of Electrotechnics.
